Oceanographic is a bi-monthly marine lifestyle magazine with a focus on ocean conservation, exploration and adventure. Filled with captivating stories and beautiful photography about our species’ connectedness with the ocean, it is a magazine that transports readers into some of our world’s most enchanting and least understood places.

Our solution to the brief was to create an experience that felt like print, so the site was designed around two core focuses; photography and editorial content, creating a unique reading environment for the user. With carefully crafted typography lockups, image arrangements and content layouts, the design allowed for content to be pulled out and highlighted, it helped make each page feel just like a magazine article.


The new website has enabled Oceanographic Magazine to grow and become a really popular publication loved by conservation, exploration and adventure enthusiasts.
