We’ve worked with Hall & Woodhouse (and their flagship beer brand, Badger) since 2017. We’ve loved bringing their characterful brand to life – so when they asked us to help refine their brand positioning and digital presence that aligned to the brand’s legendary stature, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to bring so much heritage to the present day and beyond.
From a brand perspective, everything we did had to be consistent with their three central principles: quality, independence and family; that are essential to retaining H&W’s mission to stay at the heart of communities across Southern England. This, along with a very practical need to keep the disruption across their business to a minimum.
Using this, we refreshed the Hall & Woodhouse website, updating it fully to reflect the character behind the brand. And while this was key to the revamp as a whole, the real magic was the science behind the site.
We were able to create user journeys based on UX experiences and the analytical performance of the old site — as well as being able to develop and understand the relationship between the corporate site and individual pub websites — giving guests (and search engines) a better idea of the H&W estate.
