Let's get to know Meg, one of our Creative Designers and quite possibly the only member of the team able to lift her desk over her head while running a charity bake sale.

What do you do at TJ?

I make things look pretty (Creative Designer). Most mornings you’ll find me with wet hair at my desk having come from a 6am CrossFit class, and even now in lockdown, since I built that home gym. Oh and if I’m not eating chocolate, I’m thinking of it. Balance.

The most exciting thing about the marketing and creative industry today is…

Immersive technology. AI is constantly pushing the industry to become more interactive and engaging with the user.

A brand I think is killing it at the moment is…

I know it’s an obvious one, but Nike. Every single time they just smash it. Constantly challenging and perfectly executed!

My favourite advertising campaign of all time is…

I’ve always been a massive fan of This Girl Can, developed by Sport England. For me, it was the first campaign that promoted sport for women effectively. Quite a simple concept, yet very inspiring.

My favourite brand refresh is…

I think there are loads of great refreshes happening all the time (and some bad too), but one I think works really well is AutoTrader by Studio Output. They really brought the brand into a digital age, giving it loads of personality, away from the idea it’s just a print magazine for men.

The work I’ve been involved in at TJ that I am most proud of is…

Working on the Atis website, as this was right up my street — I love a salad and digital design.

I think the biggest opportunity for brands today is…

Having a social conscience — I think we can see it already happening a lot with brands. Consumers want brands to care about the environment, inclusion, diversity and opportunity. It shows they consider people as much as they do profit (or at least pretend to!).

The one app I would highly recommend everyone should use is…

Pinterest. ALL the inspo from cake to bathroom tiles.

Everyone should follow @knee_deep_in_life on social media because it really is a comical case of Instagram vs Reality.

If I didn’t work at TJ I would work as a…

Either a CrossFit Coach (did I mention I do CrossFit?) or a baker, because cake is life.

The one word I would use to describe TJ is…

Fluid.
