Founded by Laurie Timpson in 2016 after returning from his escapades around the globe, Savernake is a British producer of premium bespoke, handcrafted and customisable kitchen and utility knives.
Since the opening of its first workshop in the Savernake Forest in 2016, Savernake has been in tireless pursuit of the perfect knife. They’ve metaphorically ripped up the knifemaking rulebook and blended state-of-the-art engineering with time-honoured hand techniques to bring one of man’s oldest crafts to the 21st century. And the result is anything but ordinary.
Each and every knife goes through 50+ hours of expert precision-engineering and meticulous handcrafting using the finest materials, modern innovations and traditional craft. And is developed to meet each customer’s specific needs, right down to complimentary personal engraving. The result is a knife that’s as unique as each customer and built to last a lifetime in their kitchen.
Savernake asked us to support with their digital transformation programme, including a new eCommerce website that entirely reflects who they are, what they do well and where they come from. The digital programme helps them to reach an audience that ranges from the enthusiastic home cook to the ambitious foodie; the luxury devotee to the discerning gift-giver; and the professional chef needing the finest knives to help them excel in their career. And, importantly, will be built on an easy-to-manage platform with usability at its heart; delivering the best device experiences and a smooth and easy way to order the knives, accessories, and sets that ‘wow’ in the kitchen.
Beyond this, we are supporting Savernake in developing an ongoing multi-channel communications strategy with the aim to increase their awareness across the market, put them top-of-mind with prospects and customers and, in 2021, look at expansion into international markets.
Work is well underway, with the new site and comms launching across the UK luxury market. Head over to savernakeknives.co.uk to find out more about the brand and give them a follow on social @savernake_knives.
